Amusements

It’s amazing how watching people dance, gets me thrill that i’ve never experienced ever, i dunno if that’s because i love to dance so much and have always wanted to dance, am not talking about special type of dance, i do love Tango, Salsa, Break Dance almost every type of dancing out there.

but watching people really dancing gets me thrilled horribly that sometimes makes me think,” why do i have to be so Geeky and not Dancing?” “What makes me continue working as a SWE with Technology, while i can live the Thrill and Dance?” then i suddenly obnoxiously say to my self “Hey, Dancing can be something in ur life, but it cant be your life, you are not that type of people and you’ll never be” and it’s true though how much i love dancing, i’ll have to let it go by as something to do, but not something to live for.

Another thing amazing that i’ve realized is, how i do love to take pictures of people while they are not aware or attentioned – giving me attention since it’s not a word :D -, and try to capture the really right moment to do so. it just makes me feel like am drawing a picture for someone and i without having to be able to draw, i’ve always failed in drawing and never have been able to draw, – yess that’s why am a Graphics Designer Sucker :D – but i’ve always loved to look at nice drawings and get more into it.

I love picturing the nature and set my mind free of how the Almighty have created everything that consistent and that beautiful to make everything around you just making sense. yesterday while i was driving on the ring road near JW Marriot i was amazed with this scene, imagine with me the following: “the moon is full, yet a bit yellowish color, really close to earch almost touching the buildings, appearing and glowing from behind a set of trees, yet still behind some mild clouds that are covering just 3/4 of the moon and leaving the top notch of it to steal my heart, soul and mind – yess while driving- and that moment i was drifted away by “How Amazingly GOD have Created everything” and more over “It made me feel like really alive again, and wanting to live more, not as in time but enjoy and make every moment count in my life”.

5 years ago i’ve been enrolled into a friends-club band that plays arabian music, and i mean old legendary amazing music, for “Um Kalthoum, Abd El Halim Hafez, Abd El Wahab” and have always tried to give it some modern feel and gesture – that came later on after we’ve been able to play them correctly first.-. However, i’ve always loved music, it just feels like filling your soul with something different, something really joyful and changes your mood. sometimes i just think that music really changes people’s lives, people’s attitude and people’s behaviors.

I’ve been playing the violin as a member of the band, and let me tell you this, it aint easy to play!, however when i played the violin, it just felt very competitive and yet very joyful am succeeding and improving into this instrument, this piece of wood have made me a calmer person, it gave me strength to think more deeper and look beyond what i’ve already known. just passing the bow over the strings would just make my worst dreams, nightmares, worries, everything disappear and not only leaves my mind blank, but it replaces them with joy, happiness and pure pleasure for the moment. i just really get and feel am not into this world anymore, am somewhere different, somewhere without hatred without fear, without fighting, somewhere pure, above the sea and the ocean, under the sky and between the clouds, the stars are blinking, the moon rays are tangling, dancing with my tunes around me. It really Changed Me, and would Change anyone who would feel just like me.

Throughout my childhood, i’ve been into technology and computers, thinking “Yess this is the Next Generation of things people are going to use and enjoy, This is where the world would turn, and that’s where i must prove myself in, and that’s what i can get really creative about”, am not a sports type – even though i was in the club league for Squash and being the youngest among all clubs around Egypt- yet didnt think this is where my life would be as a professional sports player.

The AUC New Campus – The New Vision The New Opportunity The New LifeStyle

Well today as the last day at military before i receive my Certification of Completion next week, i was invited to attend a meeting at the AUC new Campus with my old Work Folks Tarakeeb, for some work related issues, regarding training to the AUCians Post Media Production.

i’ve been to the AUC before couple of times, and i wrote posts regarding the people there, and the attitude one finds there, from disgusting and shameful to honorable and pride, this time i wanted to make a different review regarding the AUC, even-though am one of the biggest haters to the AUC students, i shall say the following regarding the AUC itself, not the Students.

The New Campus:
Wonderfully Created and Painted, Ordered and Organized, the Smallest of Details before the Biggest are considered and are made with that Modern yet Arabic, Up to Date Design, the various wide spacious areas give your eyes a relief and makes you want to really do something different, it’s a real campus like those we find on TV abroad. The campus contains loads of Green Areas, Water Falls and Fountains, that create sounds that are perfecting the environment for creativity and inner peace. where ever you might look you’d probably be surrounded by either water fountains or a garden space that you can utilize.

The Buildings are all sectioned according to usage, and trust me on this, you need a club car to go all over the place :D , however the buildings as mentioned are Modern Style yet Arabic (arabisc) styled windows and everything, there’s a complete Building for Lectures and it’s classified into rooms that contains up to 25 ~ 30 persons max according to the policy, all digitally Equipped with Projectors, White Boards and Cork Boards for information.

Getting into a class room gives you a new insight about the Type of Education you might get and benefit from such a place, the environment as said is amazingly beautiful and inspiring, the very low numbered of students per class room gives them the opportunity to ask, communicate, concentrate and even debate without a hassle to get overwhelmed of questions or the conversation, so the Doctors, Professors and off-course the Teacher Assistants would be of great help and support, giving the student a new broad mile to communicate through education not just a lecturer, recipient model.

The Labs are certainly in a different place that are equipped with the latest of up to date models giving the students opportunities to be working with top of the line components and equipment. and the same terms and condition applies of 20 persons.

The New Vision

According to the transfer from multi campuses that are scattered into multiple places, now everything is under the same roof, so you have the GYM, the Dorms, The Lectures Building, Labs, Sections all in the same place – almost- makes life more easier, and makes people more concentrated over what they want to do, let’s say, if i were an AUCian nowadays i would have certainly graduated with atleast 3.8 GPA :D , and abused the place to the max, Gym, Music, Theatre, Labs, etc…. .

XML Transformations!

well, if you know xml for us at ISSI, is a Hammer for Every Nail you want to Fix, because it solves everything, and it’s standard readable format, makes life easier, and it can be integrated in nearly all systems present online nowadays.

however, sometimes you might need to do some manipulations to the xml, that you’ll be using to for example integrate 2 systems with each other, and the first system exposes all the data the other system demands, but in a different format than the 2nd system expects them to be in. So you’re solution is either:
1) Write Code to read your XML or actually Do a Special Export in a format to the 2nd system XML format
2) Do it with XSLT and be more generalized, that you convert all your XMLs to the 2nd System XML Format

XSLT means EXtensible Stylesheet Language Transformation, which is what we need to do,
it has a quick simply syntax to use, but what it really misses is good documentation of how to use it’s functions, there exist functions present, but you dont know how to use them.
